Why did I want to become team rider for takoon ?
my main aim in life has always been to compete for whatever i love doing, but when i saw the post on kite border that Takoon were looking for 7 team riders i thougut to my self that this is the best way to start competing backed by a supportive sponsore.
How long have I been kitesurfing ?
ha ha this is a good one i have been kiteing and surfing since i was about 8 years old a good freind of my mums lynal got me in to kiteing and i used his flexi stacker which was great fun. but i have been kitesurfing for about 3/4 of a year now which does not sound good but all year round i have pushed myself to the limits to get in the water so i have progressed amensley.
What kit have I use in the past ?
i started body draging with a radsale 4m foil kite which was prity cool, then got a old old water foil which i used for land boarding this was a dangerous kite. then got a slingshot fuel 7m which was my dream great kite very stable got me up in all conditions, boards i was leant a slingshot board for a while which was 146 long masive went crasey in the chop then i brought a flexifoil delta 132 2009 it worked like a dreem flew up wind masive pop just what i needed to progress on.
What gear am I using now ?
orderd the takoon furia 7m and then am going to order the 11m and am desideing if to get a surf board of twin tip. any coments on that would be great.
Where do I ride ?
i ride where the trains will take me mostely goring becouse i know the people and are super cool. shoreham gets good when the swell is pressing hard also over at southwick beach but the lack of beach makes it hard to launch your kite and are many obstcals so not rcomended to beginers. lancing is ok mainly do down winders to it from goring the water is flat at low tide but can get very crouded and dangerous
